Jamie-Lynn Sigler opened up about a difficult period in her long journey with multiple sclerosis. The actress said she currently feels exhausted and lacks the motivation she has had in the past. Sigler discussed her current health journey on the latest episode of her MeSsy podcast. She co-hosts the show with Christina Applegate, who also lives with multiple sclerosis. Sigler received her MS diagnosis in 2001 and said she currently lacks energy and motivation. “I don’t got a lot of fight in me right now,” she admitted.

Sigler said she has not kept up with habits that usually help her feel better. She has not moved her body much or done much physical therapy. “I’m eating good, but not great,” she shared. She also said she has not been doing the things she knows will make her feel good.

Sigler said she is trying to accept her current limits without judging herself. “I’m just trying to give myself permission to not be a warrior, to not be a perfect patient,” she explained. She said she wants to be “a human that’s tired and not motivated” and “a little uninspired.” Sometimes, she added, she simply wants “to be a blob and exist.”

Sigler also acknowledged her responsibilities. “I’ve still got a lot of responsibilities on my plate,” she said, adding that she is not taking on anything extra. She asked others to reassure her that this choice is okay.

Later, Sigler told a listener that living with MS requires daily choices about when to keep moving forward and when to rest. She said she has spent years pushing herself and showing up despite MS. “I just don’t have it in me right now,” she admitted. She hopes her motivation returns soon enough. For now, Sigler said she will remain proud of the choices she is making for herself.
