Kim Kardashian’s latest health scare appears to have brought her and Lewis Hamilton closer. After the reality star revealed the ordeal in the Season 8 trailer for The Kardashians, a source claimed Hamilton dropped everything to help her, leaving her “more in love with him.”

The trailer revealed that the SKIMS founder was diagnosed with esophagitis. Speaking to Star Magazine about it, a source said, “Kim is going to be okay, but it was very scary for her because it involved her esophagus.” The source pointed to her father, Robert Kardashian, who died of esophageal cancer in 2003 at 59, as an added reason for her emotions. “Her emotions were very, very high,” the source said.
According to the source, Hamilton stepped up when Kardashian needed emotional support the most. The source said that many of the men Kardashian had previously dated might not have been able to provide the same level of support. However, Hamilton was there for her throughout the ordeal. “He brought her food, [and] when he couldn’t be with her, he was always checking in to see how she was doing. He never wavered,” the source added.
Kardashian and Hamilton have known each other since 2014. At the time, Kardashian was in a relationship with Kanye West, while Hamilton was dating Nicole Scherzinger. The two couples were photographed together at the GQ Men of the Year Awards in September 2014.
It is unknown when they first started going out. However, they were first spotted together at Kate Hudson’s New Year’s Eve party in Colorado in January 2026. Following this, they reportedly took a trip together to the Cotswolds hotel Estelle Manor. They were also photographed stepping out for dinner at Aqua Kyoto in Paris. In April this year, the Formula 1 star confirmed their relationship by sharing an Instagram video showing the couple driving a Ferrari together in Tokyo. On September 22, Hamilton took to Instagram to share a carousel that offered a peek into his relationship with Kardashian. He captioned it, “Bit of this, bit of that.”
