The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives fans received a major shock when Mikayla Matthews announced her exit from the show. Now, two more possible departures have surfaced. Layla Taylor and Mayci Neeley have both hinted that their futures on the show remain uncertain.
Layla Taylor and Mayci Neeley hint at possible exits from Mormon Wives
Recently, The Mormon Wives Report Instagram page shared comments from two The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives cast members, Layla Taylor and Mayci Neeley, hinting at the possibility that both stars could exit the show after Mikayla Matthews.
The Instagram account shared a two-slide post. The first slide focused on Neeley and revealed that the 31-year-old plans to complete filming for Season 6 but has not decided what she will do after that.
The next slide showed a fan asking Mayci Neeley whether she would remain part of the show, to which she gave a similar response.
“I am finishing this current season we are filming and then not sure after that,” Neeley wrote.
According to Reality Blurb’s coverage, a fan also asked Layla Taylor about her future on the series. Taylor gave a similarly uncertain response.
“I just love [Mikayla] so much. … It’s such an impossible situation for everyone involved but I’m finishing out season 6 and then tbd,” Taylor said.
For context, Mikayla Matthews, Mayci Neeley and Layla Taylor have expressed their displeasure over Taylor Frankie Paul’s actions toward her ex-partner, Dakota Mortensen. A video of an altercation also surfaced, appearing to show Taylor throwing a stool at Dakota. Following the video’s release, several cast members reportedly refused to film with Taylor.
As for Season 6, Hulu has not yet announced an official release date.
