Designer Christian Siriano opened up about an intense situation he faced.
Siriano revealed that he had to rush across an Emmys gown before the show began.
Christian Siriano rushed a celebrity’s Emmys 2026 gown to FedEx amid NYFW preparations
Siriano told E! News about the deadline pressure and fashion trends backstage at his New York Fashion Week presentation. He revealed that he had to send a gown to Los Angeles for a celebrity attending the 2026 Emmys. Working on the dress while preparing for his Christian Siriano Spring/Summer 2027 show on Sept. 10 made the process especially demanding.
“I just finished a dress one hour ago that literally an intern had to run to FedEx,” he said. “I hope it makes it,” he added.
The designer revealed that working on the Emmys gown while preparing for NYFW was incredibly stressful. He said that seeing models whose hair and makeup were still being done had also been overwhelming.
“That’s intense,” the 40-year-old quipped. “There’s no models in clothes, so that’s scary.”
The show was attended by Evan Rachel Wood, Mena Suvari, JoJo, Brandy, Billy Porter, Debra Messing, and more.
Siriano disclosed that the looks created for New York Fashion Week were “all over the board.”
“I had really ethereal to really vampy,” the Project Runway alum revealed. “People are going for different things.”
He also said that he had “no idea” which looks would trend at this year’s Emmys, hosted by Law & Order: SVU star Mariska Hargitay.
“I think we’re gonna see a lot,” Siriano predicted. “Maybe it’ll be not so sexy. I think it’s going to be a little more lady, elegance.”
He added, “I’m not a fan of underdressing. I rather see someone overdress at a party.”
The designer has a close relationship with method dresser Zendaya, who was up for her third Emmy for “Euphoria.”
“She’s one of the first people I’ve ever dressed and I was one of her first designers, which is why she still wears me 20 years later,” Siriano said.
Siriano also said that his bond with the actress and her stylist, Law Roach, was “crazy.”
