Billy Baldwin Says One Hollywood Costar Is Off His List for Good

Billy Baldwin said he would never work with Sharon Stone again after their difficult experience filming Sliver in 1993.

The actor revisited their long-running tension during an appearance on Lisa Guerrero Unleashed. Baldwin claimed problems between the two stars made the set uncomfortable and eventually affected how he approached one of their intimate scenes.

Billy Baldwin says tension with Sharon Stone made their Sliver set ‘miserable’

Baldwin said he and Stone initially got along during production.

“We got along pretty well the first couple weeks,” he recalled.

However, Baldwin claimed their relationship quickly deteriorated.

“And then she wouldn’t say ‘hello’ or ‘goodbye’ to me for the next three months,” he said.

The actor said the tension left “everybody miserable.” He eventually told producers that he did not want to film their final love scene.

Baldwin later agreed to complete it but asked them to remove one element.

“I can do the scene but just please don’t make me kiss her. … I can’t kiss her,” he recalled.

Baldwin claimed that decision helped shape a scene involving his character, Zeke Hawkins, and Stone’s Carly Norris against a support column.

He also challenged a claim Stone previously made about Sliver. In her 2021 memoir, Stone said producer Robert Evans pressured her to sleep with Baldwin so his performance would improve.

Baldwin disputed that version on the podcast. He claimed Evans had spoken to him about the tension between the co-stars instead.

“He was saying, ‘I keep getting reports that there’s incredibly bad tension. We know what it’s all about. All this pent-up sexual energy tension. Just do it and get it over with,’” Baldwin said.

The Sliver star also made several other claims about Stone. He alleged that she kept photos and candles related to him in her trailer.

Baldwin further repeated an allegation that Stone had told Janice Dickinson she planned to make him fall for her. Dickinson had previously denied that claim.

Despite the unresolved history, Baldwin said he still wanted peace between them. He said he would “love to bury the hatchet” and hoped they could eventually shake hands or hug.

The two had reportedly crossed paths since filming Sliver, but Baldwin said they never spoke.

Still, he drew a firm professional boundary.

Baldwin said he would “never, ever work with” Stone again.

The comments make clear that while Baldwin is open to putting their personal tension behind them, he has no interest in sharing the screen with Stone again.
