Hilaria Baldwin made it clear that she does not plan to expand her family with Alec Baldwin, even though her husband would reportedly be open to having more children.
While attending the Gala of the Stars benefiting Dancers Against Cancer on October 22, Hilaria spoke about Alec’s love of babies and her own feelings about another pregnancy.
Hilaria Baldwin says Alec Baldwin ‘would have more babies if I let him’
“Alec loves babies,” Hilaria told Us Magazine. She added that the actor would have more children if she agreed, but made it clear that she had reached her limit.
Hilaria and Alec share seven children: Carmen, María, Ilaria, Rafael, Leonardo, Romeo and Eduardo. Alec also shares daughter Ireland Baldwin with his former wife, Kim Basinger.
Rather than having another baby herself, Hilaria appeared more enthusiastic about welcoming another grandchild. Ireland was expecting her second child with boyfriend André Allen Anjos, known professionally as RAC.
“I’m glad that Ireland’s having them because I’m like, ‘Um, this shop is closed,’” Hilaria said.
Hilaria also praised Ireland’s approach to motherhood and said the two sometimes exchange parenting advice. She described her stepdaughter as a strong mother and said she was excited about Ireland’s growing family.
The difference between Hilaria and Alec’s views on having another baby is not new. In February 2025, Alec said he sometimes suggested having another child once their youngest got older.
Hilaria had a different response at the time, explaining that although she found babies adorable, her body felt tired.
The couple married in June 2012 and have given viewers a closer look at their large household through TLC’s The Baldwins, which premiered in February 2025.
For now, Hilaria’s latest remarks suggest that the couple’s family is unlikely to grow through another child of their own, despite Alec’s apparent enthusiasm for babies.
