According to TMZ, Loughlin filed paperwork to divorce Giannulli after their separation. She listed Aug. 31, 2025, as their date of separation. Loughlin cited irreconcilable differences in the filing. She also noted that she and Giannulli had signed a prenuptial agreement.

The couple will work out support matters at a later date, according to the outlet. Loughlin and Giannulli married in 1997 and share two daughters. Their daughters are Olivia Jade and Bella Giannulli. The family spent decades in the public eye during their marriage.

Their split has also raised questions about their finances. TMZ previously reported that their prenup could keep many of their assets separate. The couple also sold their Hidden Hills mansion for $12.65 million late last year. The divorce comes after a marriage that faced several public challenges.

Loughlin and Giannulli stayed together through the college admissions scandal and its fallout. Both also served prison time in connection with the case. Now, their divorce brings their longtime marriage to a formal end. The couple had already been separated for months before Loughlin filed.

Loughlin also returned to Instagram in the past week amid the major life change. She shared a video on Monday with a short but notable caption. “Here’s to things working out,” she wrote. Her message came as news of her divorce filing made headlines. The divorce filing moves Loughlin and Giannulli’s long marriage toward a formal end after nearly three decades together.
