Kim Zolciak’s Son KJ Biermann’s Future if Released After ‘Unbelievably Serious’ Charges Explored — Expert

KJ Biermann, the 15-year-old son of Kim Zolciak, could face strict restrictions if a judge granted him bond.

Former prosecutor Lindsay Richards discussed what could happen if KJ left detention before trial. Richards did not work on his case.

KJ Biermann could face “close, close monitoring” if released from jail

Richards told Page Six that KJ could face tight supervision after his release.

“I think there’s a likelihood he’ll be released and he will have a lot of conditions of his release,” she said.

Richards believed officials could place KJ on GPS monitoring. She also said he could face house arrest.

“He’ll probably be on house arrest, having to do school at home,” she added.

Richards said a court could also require therapy or educational programs.

She described the charges against KJ as “unbelievably serious.” She said a conviction could lead to decades in prison.

Richards also found his continued detention notable because of his age.

“Not releasing him into the custody of his parents with electronic monitoring of some kind, that surprises me for this young of a kid,” she said.

Richards believed prosecutors could try to have KJ prosecuted as an adult. However, the source did not report that prosecutors had formally taken that step.

Authorities arrested KJ on August 17. A female classmate accused him of sexually assaulting her on April 23 at a fitness center in Alpharetta, Georgia.

Prosecutors later indicted him on several charges. They included aggravated child molestation and aggravated sodomy. The indictment also included aggravated sexual battery and false imprisonment charges.

KJ’s attorney, Jason Sheffield, denied the allegations.

He said his client was “100% innocent” and claimed the defense had evidence to support that position.

Sheffield also said KJ voluntarily took a polygraph test. He claimed the results showed “no deception” on questions about the alleged conduct.

Kim Zolciak also defended her son.

“The allegations being made against my son are nothing short of reckless and deeply troubling,” she said through her representative.

She added, “He categorically denies ever being involved with this woman or engaging in the conduct she has alleged.”

KJ’s legal team had asked for his release from detention. They cited his academics, football background, family ties and community connections.
