DWTS’ Maura Higgins Gives Up on Dating, But Kevin Costner Has a Chance: ‘So Fine’

Higgins said her celibacy has now lasted a year and a half. She explained that the longer she stayed single, the less interested she became. “I don’t even think of it anymore,” she said about dating. She added that she feels like she simply does not want to date.

The reality star said she had “just given up” on finding the right partner. Higgins said she wants someone funny, confident and supportive. She also wants someone who feels stable and happy in his career. However, she stressed that a partner does not need to match her level of success.

She shared, “I want a good guy.” I want someone who’s funny. I want someone confident but not cocky,” Higgins said. She added that she wants someone who will support her. For now, though, Higgins said she is comfortable being alone.

Higgins also encountered other single women to take a break from dating. She said being alone can help people rediscover themselves. She stressed the importance of feeling comfortable without a relationship. Higgins also said unhealthy relationships can make people lose sight of themselves.

Still, the Dancing With the Stars contestant admitted she remains open to love. “I’m not totally like saying that I’m never going to be in a relationship again,” she explained. Higgins said she would welcome something if it naturally happened. However, she would not open herself to just anyone.

There is apparently one celebrity who could change her mind. During the interview, Higgins was asked who she would lose her virginity to. She immediately named Kevin Costner and praised his appearance.

“Kevin Costner,” Higgins said. “I don’t know how anyone’s laughing at that. He is so fine.” She later added, “Kevin, call me.”

Higgins previously sparked attention after meeting Costner at the Super Bowl. She excitedly shouted, “Kevin, I love you!” when she spotted him. The encounter appeared to reinforce her long-running celebrity crush.
