Below Deck star Nathan Gallagher is facing an arrest warrant in Australia after he failed to appear in court. The 27-year-old was due to face charges stemming from a domestic violence case involving his former partner and co-star, Gael Cameron.
Nathan Gallagher was convicted after failing to appear at Burwood Local Court
Gallagher was scheduled to appear at Burwood Local Court on September 1. He was due to face charges related to an alleged domestic violence incident. The incident reportedly took place at the pair’s Melrose Park residence in December 2025. Police alleged that Gallagher used one hand to cover Cameron’s mouth. They further alleged that he also covered her nose during the incident. No reports indicated that Cameron suffered any serious injuries.
Police arrested Gallagher on December 27, 2025, and took him to Gladesville Police Station. The reality star pleaded not guilty to all three charges, including assault occasioning actual bodily harm, intentionally choking a person without consent, and common assault. Burwood Local Court granted him conditional bail on January 15, 2026. The court scheduled his next hearing for September 1.
The Burtonport native is believed to have fled Australia. Meanwhile, the alleged victim attended court to provide evidence, supported by friends. Judge Janine Lacy ultimately convicted Gallagher in his absence.
The judge said, as per the Sydney Morning Herald, “Given the serious nature of offences, and I note on the record I have been given documentation from immigration compliance operations division that he is currently overseas. The defendant doesn’t have any prior criminal history but the offences are very serious, with significant maximum penalties, and the context of DV committed in the home. I record a conviction and issue an [arrest] warrant.”
The latest development comes just days after Gallagher gave a statement to Rolling Stone. He said, “I don’t believe the public has heard the full story surrounding what happened.” He also claimed public reports presented only one side and that he has video footage, messages, and other records from the night.
