Aaron suffered a serious medical emergency in late January. He woke up unable to move or feel his legs after experiencing severe back pain. Doctors later told him he had suffered a spinal stroke and pulmonary embolism.
Aaron also went into cardiac arrest after waking from a coma. He said doctors had to resuscitate him multiple times. He remained intubated and unable to speak for nearly a month.
During that difficult period, Aaron’s family delivered unexpected news. His wife, Margarita DeLeon, was reportedly still legally married to her previous husband. Aaron had married DeLeon in December 2024.
DeLeon claimed she did not know her earlier divorce remained unfinished. However, she was prevented from making medical decisions for Aaron. The actor said he has not spoken to her since his stroke.
Aaron later explained that the marriage was intended to be legally valid. However, he discovered that was not the case. “Thankfully, the marriage was voided,” he told US.
“I didn’t need to annul it because we weren’t legally married,” Aaron continued. He added, “I dodged a bullet there.”
The revelation added another painful chapter to Aaron’s recovery. He said their relationship had already been troubled before his medical crisis. According to Aaron, they experienced frequent arguments, accusations, and lies.
Meanwhile, Aaron remained determined to rebuild his life after the medical crisis. It’s a miracle I’m still here,” Aaron said. He viewed the experience as a second chance to pursue his purpose. Aaron is currently working on a book called The Blind Side of Love. Despite everything he endured, the actor said he remained focused on moving forward.
