The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Annemarie Wiley contacted police after she believed her estranged husband, former NFL star Marcellus Wiley, had violated a domestic violence restraining order.
Annemarie contacted Los Angeles police over an alleged restraining order violation by Marcellus
According to TMZ, Annemarie called Los Angeles police on Tuesday. This happened just hours after criminal charges against Marcellus were dropped in Florida. Law enforcement sources told TMZ that Annemarie reported a possible violation of the restraining order. Officers then went to the former couple’s marital home in Los Angeles.
However, Marcellus Wiley is reportedly not allowed to enter the home under the temporary restraining order. Even so, police determined that no crime had been committed. As a result, no arrests were made. The latest incident comes after prosecutors in Florida dropped the domestic violence case against Marcellus earlier this week. According to TMZ, prosecutors cited insufficient evidence.
Meanwhile, Annemarie has continued to speak publicly about her claims against her estranged husband. The RHOBH star shared a lengthy statement on her Instagram Stories. In it, she stood by her allegations that she experienced more than a decade of abuse during her marriage to Marcellus. She also previously accused him of assaulting her during a hotel altercation in Florida.
According to her claims, Marcellus Wiley allegedly jammed his finger in her face and threatened to kill her. However, prosecutors ultimately declined to file domestic battery charges because of insufficient evidence.
Meanwhile, Annemarie filed for divorce and requested a restraining order shortly after the alleged incident.
Although the Florida case has been dropped, the former couple’s legal dispute is not over. Annemarie continues to stand by her allegations, while the latest police response did not result in any charges against Marcellus.
