Lindsie Chrisley’s ex-boyfriend David Landsman faced serious legal trouble after a Georgia grand jury indicted him over an alleged April assault involving the Chrisley Knows Best alum. The indictment accused Landsman of aggravated assault, false imprisonment and battery, adding another chapter to their relationship.
The charges stemmed from an April 10 incident in Cherokee County, where authorities alleged Landsman attacked Chrisley, 36, and caused injuries.

Court documents obtained by Us Weekly alleged that Landsman forcibly threw Chrisley to the ground, causing a head laceration. Prosecutors also accused him of applying pressure to her throat and neck during the alleged confrontation.
The indictment included aggravated assault, false imprisonment and battery. Authorities alleged that Landsman caused substantial injuries.
The documents said the pair had dated for two years before the alleged incident.
The night before, the couple reportedly went to dinner. Landsman allegedly became “verbally aggressive” after seeing a photo on Chrisley’s phone, believing another man appeared in it.
Chrisley explained the photo showed Landsman himself, and he reportedly apologised. She later told him she needed to step away from their relationship.
When Chrisley tried leaving his home, Landsman allegedly strangled her “multiple times.” Authorities later examined injuries on her neck and head.
Landsman’s attorney denied wrongdoing in a statement to the outlet. “Mr. Landsman asserts his innocence regarding any charges on the indictment,” the attorney said, adding that the defence expected the charges to be resolved in his favour.
A representative for Chrisley told PEOPLE that she “did not contact law enforcement regarding this matter and is focused on herself and her family during this incredibly difficult and deeply personal time.”

The case came during a year for Chrisley. She was arrested in May on suspicion of DUI and other traffic offenses. Chrisley had previously described her relationship with Landsman as safe and loving. She had changed her surname to Landsman before removing it.
