A24 has released the first look trailer of “Primetime”. This offers a fresh look at Pattinson as journalist Chris Hansen. The movie is inspired by the controversial To Catch a Predator television series. The Lance Oppenheim directed drakma follows Pattinson as he pursues high-profile sting operations targeting adults accused of attempting to meet minors for sex.
According to Rolling Stone, Primetime follows Chris Hansen becoming intensely invested in catching high-profile predators. The story continues against a thrilling background. It is set in the time when To Catch a Predator evolves from a Dateline NBC segment into a hit primetime show.
The trailer opens with Pattinson saying “It’ll be bigger than Lost!” as he celebrates the show’s euphoric success. It also introduces another central character with Skyler Gisondo. He plays an actor who is hired to pose as a teenage boy, helping lure predators into the show’s sting operations. At one point, Hansen tells him, “What you’re doing is more than acting. You’re cleansing the world of an ancient evil.”
The trailer has already attracted attention online.
