Chris Hansen Invites Robert Pattinson Onto His Show to Discuss Primetime Discourse

Chris Hansen wants Robert Pattinson‘s side after his Primetime portrayal. The former To Catch a Predator host has publicly criticized the movie. However, he is now offering Pattinson a chance to discuss it directly.

During Wednesday’s episode of his show, Have a Seat With Chris Hansen, the journalist invited the actor to join him for a conversation about Primetime. The film explores Hansen’s work on the controversial NBC series, which confronted men accused of seeking sexual encounters with minors.

“You know, it dawned on me the other day that there’s a guy who has been asked a lot of questions about me, and I’ve been asked a lot of questions regarding him,” Hansen said. “And that guy is Robert Pattinson.”

Hansen then extended an open invitation to the actor, offering to travel to London, where Pattinson is filming the next Batman movie, to record their conversation.

“Of course, you know he’s the actor who portrays me, or a character with my name, image, and likeness, in the movie Primetime. And I thought, wouldn’t it be great if Robert Pattinson would have a seat with me and talk about all of this?” he added.

Chris Hansen’s invitation comes after Robert Pattinson brought his story to the big screen

Hansen’s invitation follows his negative reaction to Primetime, directed by Lance Oppenheim. After watching the film in a New York City theater, Hansen said it mixed some real events with fictional material and criticized its portrayal of his career.

“I can tell you that most of it is pure fiction. They mix in some reality here and there. At the end of the day, I wasn’t blown away by it either way. It’s a movie, and I’ll continue to do the work I do, and people can watch this movie and make up their own minds,” he said in a recorded reaction.

Hansen also criticized Pattinson’s performance, giving it a “D” grade during a discussion with Fox News host Jesse Watters. Pattinson has not publicly responded to the invitation. For now, it remains unclear whether the actor will accept Hansen’s offer to discuss the movie and its portrayal of the journalist.
