Carson Daly Breaks Silence on ‘The Voice’ Exit Rumors

Carson Daly responded to the ongoing rumors of him leaving The Voice after the new spinoff announcement. The longtime host addressed the rumors directly through his Instagram post on Aug. 4, assuring fans that he is not leaving the singing competition.

Carson Daly responded to speculation about his future on The Voice after the spinoff announcement

In a lengthy social media post, Daly explained that the confusion stemmed from NBC’s newly announced Celebrity Voice. It is a new spinoff of the OG show and not a replacement.

“Hiya friends! So today we announced our new upcoming ‘Celebrity’ version of @nbcthevoice,” he wrote. Daly described the new series as “a fun, NEW IDEA” featuring famous people singing for three coaches, along with “lots of new twists & turns.”

While explaining the format of the show, Daly also confirmed that he will not be hosting the celebrity edition. Instead, the role will be taken over by Keke Palmer. “I am not the right host for it. We have a NEW amazing HOST! The triple threat queen @keke who is PERFECT for it!” he wrote, adding that he is grateful Palmer “carved out the time in her busy career” to join the show and welcomed her to The Voice family.

The television personality then directly addressed the growing speculation about his departure. “Many today have asked if I’m leaving the show. Nope,” Daly wrote. “We’re gonna try out these 2 formats this fall/spring & see how it goes! Hopefully this post clears up any confusion.”

He went on to remind fans of his long history with the 16-year-old franchise. “I am still hosting the show currently. In fact, I have hosted & produced every single second of the show since day 1, 30 seasons. 16 years.”

Although he won’t be fronting Celebrity Voice, Daly confirmed that he will remain involved as an executive producer, helping launch the new format behind the scenes while continuing to host the original series.

He concluded the update by thanking viewers for their continued support and teasing what’s ahead. Daly revealed that the upcoming season of the original The Voice has already filmed a significant portion and said it “may be our best season yet.” He also encouraged fans to tune in next month for the returning “OG” version before Celebrity Voice premieres in Spring 2027.
