Jax Taylor has alleged that Brittany Cartwright is trying to sabotage his career following their divorce battle. The Valley star claimed his ex-wife made false accusations on social media instead of addressing the issue privately.

In late July, Taylor posted what he believed was a legitimate Smartwater advertisement on social media. The fake partnership quickly went viral before Taylor deleted the post. Later, his ex-wife mocked him on her ‘When Reality Hits’ podcast and claimed he staged the deal to improve his image.
Discussing his now-viral fake brand partnership, the 47-year-old actor told Us Weekly, “Yesterday was just another example of Brittany going out of her way to publicly embarrass and humiliate me.” The Vanderpump Rules alum said, “Instead of reaching out privately to address the situation, she chose to contact the brand, laugh about it on her podcast, and post false accusations on social media, turning something that could have been handled privately into a public spectacle.”
He claimed his ex-wife had developed a pattern of trying to damage his reputation. He alleged that she interfered with his ability to work and earn a living. Additionally, he also said her actions made it harder for him to move forward and rebuild his life.
The actor also addressed the issue on Instagram on July 31, sharing a detailed statement with his followers. The TV personality wrote, “A few weeks ago, I accepted what I believed was a legitimate campaign opportunity through a third-party influencer platform, like many creators use. I received the offer, emails, creative brief, and deliverables.”
Taylor said he trusted a platform that he later learned was not legitimate. He added that he removed the content immediately after learning the campaign was unauthorized.
Taylor insisted that he would never intentionally misrepresent a partnership. He said Cartwright transformed what he considered an “honest mistake” into “pure entertainment” and used the situation to humiliate him.
After marrying in 2019 and welcoming their son two years later, Taylor and Cartwright filed for divorce in 2024. In March, they finalized a custody agreement for their five-year-old son, Cruz, reports People.
