50 Cent secured a temporary court order against Tia Kemp, the ex of Rick Ross, after alleging that she repeatedly targeted his 14-year-old son, Sire, online.
According to court documents, a Florida judge granted the rapper’s request for a temporary injunction and imposed several restrictions on Kemp ahead of the next hearing.
A judge steps in to protect 50 Cent’s teenage son
The judge ordered Kemp to remain at least 500 feet away from Sire. They barred her from contacting him directly or indirectly, including through social media.
According to TMZ, the temporary injunction also prohibited Kemp from possessing firearms or ammunition. The order required her to surrender any weapons in her possession to law enforcement after she was served with the injunction.
50 Cent filed the request on behalf of his son. He alleged that Kemp had repeatedly posted about the teenager online.
According to the filing, Kemp allegedly called Sire “slow” and claimed that he was on the autism spectrum.
The rapper also alleged that Kemp shared a photo of Sire alongside a sexually explicit image of a woman. His filing identified the woman in the image as the teenager’s mother, Daphne Joy.
50 Cent said his attorneys had previously sent Kemp a cease-and-desist letter over her alleged behavior. According to his filing, Kemp responded by posting part of the letter online alongside the caption, “F u and ya lawyers.”
He argued that the posts had caused his son humiliation, embarrassment, and mental anguish.
The judge’s ruling did not permanently resolve the dispute. The injunction was temporary and was scheduled to expire on November 3.
