Beau Clark says he felt angry and resentful while discussing their relationship on House of Stassi
Stassi Schroeder’s husband, Beau Clark, became emotional on House of Stassi as he opened up about the couple’s struggles, even likening their relationship to that of roommates. During the Wednesday, July 29, premiere of Hulu’s new show, Clark sat down with podcast co-host Taylor Strecker to discuss the tension in his relationship with Schroeder.
The Vanderpump Rules alum, 38, married Clark, 46, in 2020, and the pair share two children, Hartford, 5, and Messer, 2. As a stay-at-home dad while his wife maintains a busy schedule, Clark admitted the dynamic has taken a toll on him.
“I’m trying to balance wanting her to have her space and to be able to not stress out when she’s working,” Beau shared with Strecker, according to Us Weekly. “But then also I’m sitting here and I’m angry and resentful.” He confessed he had been “just shoving it down” rather than facing the issue head-on.
“I just got so detached from her that it’s like we’re roommates,” he continued. “I don’t feel worthy.” Clark also compared himself to “a 1950s housewife” cleaning and feeding the kids while feeling disconnected.
Schroeder grew emotional during the exchange and urged her husband to open up. “I want you to say things the way that you tell me you don’t want things to build up. I need to make more of an effort,” she said. In her own confessional, she praised his steady support through the years.
