Andrew Tate has complained again about conditions inside the jail where he’s being held. The influencer stated that the water he was drinking inside his cell had made him sick. He also said officials have restricted several other basic privileges.
Andrew Tate alleged that contaminated drinking water in jail was making him violently ill
Andrew took to social media over the weekend and claimed the only water available in his cell comes from a shower faucet. According to TMZ, he called it “brown and filthy” and stated that the officials would not let him drink bottled water. He alleges that the authorities are forcing him to drink “poisoned water.” Tate also said the water has caused him persistent stomach problems.
Earlier this month, U.S. Marshals arrested Tristan and Andrew Tate in Miami on a United Kingdom extradition warrant. The warrant seeks to return the brothers to the U.K. to face charges that include rape, sex trafficking, and child pornography.
Tate also alleged that officials placed him in the Special Housing Unit. He said he has no access to the commissary, no phone calls, and no yard time. Instead of supporting him, many took to social media to voice objections to his complaints. Some users responded with lighthearted criticism of the comment about drinking water.
One user wrote, “Yes, what did you think you would get, A weekend stay at the Ritz. Man up and join the club. Lots of us in America had tuff it through and limit the amount of water you drink.” Another added, “Do they insert soft stinky tiny cylinders in your mouth, lashing you by leather belt? If not, they are much much much more humane than you in your daily routine.”
The brothers’ attorney, Joseph McBride, told TMZ that a court hearing was scheduled for Monday. He said he would exhaust all appropriate measures at that time to ensure Andrew and Tristan received proper care. McBride also said, “We are gravely concerned about Andrew and Tristan’s physical, spiritual, and psychological health in solitary confinement.”
