Dane Bowers admitted he couldn’t resist checking in on ex Katie Price as headlines about her whirlwind marriage continued piling up. The former Another Level singer said curiosity got the better of him, prompting the first message he’d sent Price in years.
The conversation didn’t last long. Still, it revealed where the former couple stands today.
Dane Bowers reveals his thoughts about Katie Price and Lee Andrews’ ongoing drama
Speaking to Contact Music, Bowers reflected on Another Level’s successful return to the stage while balancing a very different life in Dubai. The singer said nostalgia for ’90s and 2000s music kept the group busy with festivals and live shows.
“It’s been good, that’s because we get to do what we want to do,” he said. “We’re loving it at the minute. Obviously, ‘90s and Noughties music is massive at the minute so it’s all going well.” Although fans often ask about new material, Bowers explained the band currently wants to enjoy performing before considering fresh music.
His personal life also looks far different these days. Bowers lives in Dubai with partner Nicole, where he runs DB Entertainment, an events company. He said recent regional tensions had little impact on residents. Tourism slowed, but he praised local authorities and said life continued as normal despite the summer heat.
Of course, Katie Price’s marriage to Lee Andrews still grabs his attention. Bowers admitted he even knows people who know Andrews through mutual connections in Dubai. “I’m hooked on it as well,” he confessed. “My missus tells me new updates and it’s like madness. I just don’t know when it’s going to stop. But it is funny.”
His curiosity eventually pushed him to contact Price directly. Bowers revealed he messaged her asking, “‘Look, is this some sort of wind-up or what?’” He said she “didn’t really say much,” but added they remained friendly despite not speaking for years.
Bowers also appeared in Price’s documentary Katie Price: Nothing to Hide. He explained he wanted to revisit what life felt like during their heavily scrutinized relationship instead of reopening old wounds. He admitted the documentary reminded him of moments he had completely forgotten.
Their romance dominated British tabloids between 1998 and 2000 before ending amid intense media attention. Despite everything, Bowers said he held no ill feelings toward Price and believed the feeling was mutual.
