Dr. Lenny Hochstein has landed in fresh legal trouble after three women filed new medical malpractice lawsuits against the Miami plastic surgeon. The latest complaints accuse the Real Housewives of Miami personality of failing to provide proper post-operative care and leaving patients with lasting injuries.
The lawsuits add to his growing legal challenges. Hochstein has denied wrongdoing in previous litigation.
The legal complaints accuse Lenny Hochstein of failing to properly treat patients after surgery
According to CBS Miami, law firm Morgan & Morgan filed three separate malpractice lawsuits against Hochstein. Each woman described different procedures but raised similar concerns about complications and post-operative treatment.
One patient claimed she developed serious infections and ongoing pain after abdominal surgery. She alleged Hochstein failed to provide proper follow-up care after the procedure.
Another woman said she underwent breast augmentation surgery that left one breast deformed. She later sought corrective surgery from another physician.
A third patient described two breast augmentation procedures. She underwent the second surgery to address problems from the first. Instead, she alleged the complications continued. She claimed she suffered pain, deformity, and inadequate post-operative care.
Attorney Jack Cook, who represents the women through Morgan & Morgan, discussed the impact of the alleged injuries. “These women are seeking monetary damages,” he told the station. “A lot of them have a lot of medical bills, some of them have had lengthy hospital stays, a lot of them had to be removed off of work, and all of them are kind of left with permanent issues.”
Cook also claimed the women felt disappointed by the outcome of their procedures. “They feel a little bit like they got promised something and told something and sold something that really didn’t pan out in the end,” he said.
The lawsuits also alleged staff members dismissed or poorly handled several patient concerns after surgery.
The Miami Herald reported that Morgan & Morgan already had another malpractice lawsuit pending against Hochstein. That brings the total number of active Miami-Dade malpractice cases against him to four.
Hochstein disputed the latest allegations. In a text message to the publication, he said, “These are allegations, not facts. I am fully prepared to defend myself and expect to prevail in all three cases.”
The surgeon, known to Real Housewives of Miami fans through his marriage to Lisa Hochstein, has practiced in Florida since 1995. State records also show several past malpractice settlements while noting that settlements alone do not establish negligence.
