Becky G helps bring reliable water access to communities in Jalisco, Mexico
Becky G has partnered with Patrón Tequila for a limited-edition bottle collection. The design reflects her Mexican roots and cultural heritage. Green and blue colours symbolise rain and sustainability. The collaboration also supported a larger community mission.
The initiative will fund 200 rainwater harvesting systems across Jalisco. Tequila partnered with nonprofit Isla Urbana for the installations. The systems will help families collect and store rainwater. Many communities continue to face unreliable water access.
In an interview with Mitu, Becky G explained that the project carried personal significance. Her grandparents came from the Mexican state of Jalisco. She said, “This bottle represents the power of rain.” The singer hoped every design element reflected possibility and community.
She highlighted ongoing water challenges across the region. Becky G said many families still lacked reliable water access. She added, “This region gives so much to the world.” The project aims to support lasting local improvements.
Jennifer White of Isla Urbana explained how the systems operate. Rainwater is collected from the rooftops before filtration begins. The water is then stored for household use. Families can access it throughout the year.
The partnership continued Becky G’s long record of community work. She previously supported scholarship programs and music education initiatives. The singer said growing success strengthened her advocacy efforts. She hopes projects like this inspire meaningful change.
The limited-edition Patrón collection is now available nationwide. Proceeds will also expand the rainwater initiative across Jalisco. Becky G described giving back as deeply personal. She said meaningful changes begin within local communities.
