A TikTok shared by @jussst_arii shows Duff preparing to perform the choreography with several fans at her July 11 concert in Mountain View, California. Another woman then appeared to climb over a barricade and run onto the stage.
The fan held up a black T-shirt before turning toward the crowd and attempting to follow the “With Love” routine. The video shows her moving out of sync with the selected participants and facing the wrong direction.
“What was even happening?” the TikTok user wrote in the caption. Viewers questioned how the woman reached the stage and whether security should have intervened sooner. One participant who said Duff had invited her onstage also addressed the interruption.
Duff remained calm throughout the interaction. The footage shows her continuing the performance before the woman hugged her and security escorted the fan away. The incident came during Duff’s Lucky Me Tour, where selected audience members recreate the viral “With Love” choreography.
This was not Duff’s first unpredictable fan interaction. At a recent Dallas show, an invited participant lifted and spun her during the same song. Duff later reassured the fan, writing, “I loved my big swing around hug! Don’t think twice!”
Duff has not publicly addressed the Mountain View interruption. The footage does not explain how the woman reached the stage.
Still, the moment turned a planned fan dance into a debate about security and boundaries. Duff’s calm response kept the performance moving as the unexpected guest struggled to follow the routine.
