The Princess paid a visit to the hospital on July 6. She went to different wards and interacted with families and young cancer warriors. The hospital has a partnership with Royal Marsden and St. George’s Hospital. Together, the three are set to establish a specialist pediatric cancer center. This unit is expected to treat complex childhood cancers and blood disorders. It will also serve young patients across southern England.
Kate’s visit has a personal connection after her recovery from cancer. She received chemotherapy at the Royal Marsden Hospital. The princess keenly listened as the doctors laid out their plans for future collaboration. This project wants to improve the treatment quality for young patients.
