Will Compton, who is a staple at Kelce’s Tight End University summit, was not invited to the wedding while many NFL players were in attendance. Portnoy, on the latest episode of “Wake Up Barstool,” put Compton on the spot, according to Page Six.
Compton initially was not thinking about the invite, but saw many former football players, which made him question it. He said, “I’m gonna be honest, I didn’t think nothing of it at first.” I saw [sports analyst] Dean Blandino got an invite. Is that real?” Compton was “flabbergasted” when he saw many people from his community attending the wedding. The Barstool Sports founder took to his X account to share the clip where Compton was talking about the star-studded wedding at Madison Square Garden. Soon after his post, users were quick to react.
One X user wrote, “Aw. He wasn’t genuinely disappointed until he saw the same thing everyone else saw.” Another commented, “Imagine being flabbergasted you missed the Swift-Kelce wedding.” While another user called out Portnoy, saying, “And Dave, you got snubbed too. Nikki Glazer got an invite just for being a fan. You were a big supporter of Taylors. You should have been there. All of ABC and ESPN was there. Barstool should have been there.”
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce got married at MSG in New York City on July 3. The couple invited over 1,000 guests from Hollywood and the NFL fraternity. Neither Compton nor Kelce further commented on guests after the viral discussion.
