Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie are reportedly feeling the pressure as controversy surrounding their father, ex-Prince Andrew, continues to cast a shadow over the York family. It has been eight months since ex-Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson were stripped of their royal titles. Around the same time, they received instructions to vacate the Royal Lodge in Windsor. Since then, public attention on the York family has only intensified.

According to Closer, fresh concerns have emerged ahead of an investigation by the UK Parliament’s Public Accounts Committee. Focusing on the Crown Estate rental agreements, the investigation prompted questions about the residences occupied by the princesses.

The Royal author and former Liberal Democrat MP, Norman Baker, recently suggested that the sisters should also consider vacating their homes before further questions arise. Discussing this, he added, “I think Beatrice and Eugenie would be wise to leave their properties in St James’s Palace and Kensington Palace before people start asking too many questions.” He also further added, “Non-working royals should never benefit from grace-and-favour or peppercorn rent arrangements.”

Lastly, the latest developments have reportedly caused renewed anxiety for the sisters. They were also asked not to attend Royal Ascot with senior members of the royal family this year. An insider elaborated, “The girls are both trying to continue life as normally as possible, but the fact is, things for their father are getting worse by the day, and that means the scrutiny on them is getting worse, too.”

They further stated that the sisters are concerned about being canceled. They added that the sisters hoped “that the worst of it all had come out.” Unfortunately, as the insider reported, “it’s now clear there is no end in sight. It’s causing an indescribable amount of stress for them.”
