A recent DUI arrest involving Kim Scott took an emotional turn when body camera footage captured her breaking down in tears while speaking with police. The newly released video shows Eminem’s ex-wife trying to explain a crash near Detroit before officers ultimately placed her under arrest.
The incident marks the latest legal setback for Scott, who had appeared in court just days earlier over a separate impaired-driving case connected to another crash.

According to footage obtained by TMZ, Scott became visibly emotional while describing the moments leading up to the accident. She told officers she had been driving around a corner when bright headlights from an oncoming truck temporarily blinded her. According to her account, she swerved and collided with another vehicle.
“It was just an accident,” Scott said through tears while speaking with officers at the scene.
At another point during the exchange, she quietly added, “It was the worst.” As officers gathered her registration, insurance information, and driver’s license, the conversation shifted to whether she had consumed alcohol that evening.
“You are slurring really bad,” one officer told her. Scott appeared surprised by the observation before responding, “Am I what? I did drink, but not recently.”
Police then conducted field sobriety tests. The footage shows Scott becoming emotional again after officers placed her in handcuffs, turning away from the camera as she cried.
The arrest occurred on May 13 in the 21 Mile area near Detroit after authorities say her vehicle struck a parked car. According to reports, she was later booked into the Macomb County Jail on suspicion of driving under the influence.
No injuries were reported in connection with the crash.
The incident came shortly after Scott appeared in court regarding a separate February accident involving a parked vehicle. In that case, she entered a no-contest plea to impaired driving and failure to report an accident. Sentencing is scheduled for next month.
Kim Scott, 51, was married to Eminem from 1999 to 2001 before the pair briefly reconciled in 2006. They later divorced for a second and final time. Together, they share daughter Hailie Jade, while their extended family also includes daughters Alaina and Stevie.
