Simmons’ daughter, Aoki Lee Simmons, started dating the 65-year-old man in April 2024. However, the two have reportedly parted ways now. During her appearance in the latest episode of the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast, Kimora admitted that she knew her daughter’s ex-boyfriend, but not well enough to allow her daughter to date him. “I know this guy. But I didn’t know this guy in that capacity like with my kid or that you were even dating my kid,” said the fashion designer.
Aoki’s 65-year-old ex-boyfriend’s name is Vittorio Assaf, a restaurateur with an estimated net worth of $250M. (via Atlanta Black Star)
The podcast host, Amanda Hirsch, predicted that Kimora possibly lashed out at Aoki after learning about this relationship. The 50-year-old confessed that she wanted to do the same, but she refrained from following her heart and warned her daughter with softer words.
“It blew up to be so much, so then you can’t be the mom that’s like, ‘What the hell are you doing?’ But that definitely was the thing,” said Kimora. “But it went from 0 to 100 really quick, and I was like, ‘Aoki, I didn’t even know this was a thing.’ I found out when the world found out.”
Kimora may have controlled her anger instead of confronting Aoki upon learning about her relationship, but she expressed her views without holding back regarding such uncanny linkups.
“That big age gap relationship, let’s just call it that. I do think it’s predatorial… I think that’s predatorial and kinda crazy.”
According to PEOPLE, Aoki and Assaf’s relationship lasted for just a few days. It reportedly started and ended within the first ten days of April 2024.
