The Custom Titanfall Xbox One is Real After All, but Only Respawn Employees Get One

Remember that remarkable Titanfall Xbox One that was leaked back in January? Well, it turns out it wasn’t a false rumor like many suspected.

Respawn Entertainment employees have begun receiving a custom Titanfall Xbox One bundle. It didn’t take long for a couple of them to pop-up on Twitter, such as the one posted on the company’s official account.

What’s shocking is that the bundle hasn’t been confirmed for a consumer-available release. Instead, Microsoft has a bundle releasing on March 11th which includes a regular Xbox One and a digital copy of Titanfall; neither the console nor the controller are wrapped with Titanfall designs.

However, there is a glimmer of hope as each of them has come in a fully labeled box, as seen below:

Why Microsoft decided to make this bundle exclusive to developers is unknown. Chances are it’s related to costs. But really, Microsoft needs every sale it can get at this point, and such a piece of art would have only helped.

Unfortunately, the chances of a commercial release are slim. Titanfall comes out in a week and those who get the already confirmed bundle would be rather irate if a better bundle was announced shortly after. Bummer.
