Kelsey Grammer‘s daughter is opening up about her father’s reaction to her mother’s angry viral birthday post. Mason Grammer, the actor-comedian’s 25-year-old daughter, revealed that her father reached out and made up for his mistake.
In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Mason shared that they definitely heard from the Frasier star after that public drama. She said, “We did. He took me out to lunch, which was very nice. So, we had our little lunch date after that.”
When asked if he apologized for forgetting her big day in late October, Mason replied affirmatively: “He did apologize, which was good. So, that was a plus.”
What did Kelsey Grammer’s ex-wife say in the original viral post?
Mason’s words come after Kelsey allegedly forgot his daughter’s 25th birthday. This led to his ex-wife and The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Camille Meyer penning a fuming message online, calling out her former husband.
In an Instagram post, she wrote in a lengthy caption, “A daughter should never have to wonder whether her father remembers her birthday. Three days later, and still not a call or a text.”
She continued, “You can be a beloved actor to the world, but being a father is a role that requires showing up when the cameras are off. Fame, accolades, and public admiration mean very little if you neglect the people who should matter most. Some wounds come not from what is said, but from the silence.”
“Mason told me she kept checking her phone all weekend, hoping her father had called, even from an unfamiliar number, or that his message had somehow ended up in her spam folder. She even checked there, searching for any sign that he had reached out,” Camille concluded.
Besides the frustrated rant slamming her ex-husband and her daughter’s father, the RHOBH alum also shared a carousel of Mason as a baby.
