KATSEYE postpones Chicago and Minneapolis shows days after Detroit show cancelation
KATSEYE postponed two shows in Chicago and Minneapolis, respectively, on their ongoing “Wildworld” concert tour. They announced it on their girl group’s Instagram Story (via Variety) and cited the reason. Reportedly, band member Megan Skiendiel has suffered a concussion. “The label has made the decision to postpone our shows in Chicago and Minneapolis as Megan is recovering from a concussion,” they wrote.
Furthermore, the band apologized to their fans, acknowledging their excitement to attend the shows. “We’ll announce the rescheduled dates as soon as possible, so please hold on to your tickets. We can’t wait to see you in both cities again soon. Thank you for your continued love, support and understanding,” the message concluded.
This week, KATSEYE were supposed to perform at Chicago’s United Center and Minneapolis’ Target Center. But Skiendiel has fallen ill, postponing the shows for later dates. The new schedules have not been announced yet. However, in the respective venues’ social media announcements, they asked fans to hold on to their tickets.
Meanwhile, this was the group’s third cancelation. On Monday, KATSEYE postponed their show at Detroit’s Little Caesars Arena. It was also because Skiendiel was unwell.
For those unversed, KATSEYE comprises six members — Sophia Laforteza, Manon Bannerman, Daniela Avanzini, Lara Raj, Megan Skiendiel, and Yoonchae Jeung. However, Laforteza has taken a break from promotional activities for now. She made the announcement in August, citing her mental wellness as the reason. Before her, Bannerman also stepped back temporarily to “focus on her health and wellbeing.”
