Jenna Bush Hager tells a White House ghost story to Scarlett Johansson
Jenna Bush Hager recently shared a spooky story during the latest episode wherein Scarlett Johansson appeared as a guest. Bush Hager spoke about experiencing paranormal activity at the White House. Her father, George W. Bush, was president then.
She also said her twin sister experienced it. Bush Hager shared, “I believe in ghosts. We had ghosts in our house. We had to get a ghost whisperer [to] come and get them out.” She then added that it happened inside the White House.
Johansson immediately looked shocked by the story. “What?! What house?” Jenna said. “In the house I live in, but also in the White House.” Johansson replied, “Oh my God! Is this true? Do people know this? Have you said this publicly? That there was a ghost in the White House when you were living there?”
Bush Hager also said her sister Barbara witnessed it. Initially, Barbara did not believe her. “The first time she wasn’t and she didn’t believe me, and then two nights later she was sleeping with me,” Bush Hager continued. “It was like 1920s music that came out of the fireplace. And you know, two nights later, Barbara was like, ‘You liar.’ Two nights later, it was opera.”
The experience left both sisters with chills. Johansson wanted to know what the ghost looked like. Bush Hager described the presence as friendly. She also said it never harmed them. The actress appeared shocked throughout the conversation. “Oh my God! That’s insane!” Johansson responded.
Meanwhile, Johansson will star in Mike Flanagan’s upcoming horror movie The Exorcist: Martyrs, alongside Chiwetel Ejiofor, John Leguizamo, Laurence Fishburne, Diane Lane, and Sasha Calle. The film is scheduled to release on March 12, 2027.
