Sean Gunn’s latest movie trailer draws comparisons to Fargo for its small-town story of desperation and betrayal. Titled Anywhere, the upcoming film marks Adam Seidel’s directorial debut.
The official synopsis for Anywhere reads, “When conscientious oil worker John discovers his wife, Syd, has been plotting to run away with his brother, Cody, a brutal confrontation explodes into violence and John’s split-second decision sets off a chain of disastrous consequences. As the dust settles, the cold-blooded and cunning Syd proves she’s no victim – finishing what her husband started and swiftly covering their tracks.”

What happens in the Anywhere trailer?
The Anywhere trailer opens with a confrontation between John, played by Joshua Burge, and his elder brother Cody, played by Ryan Francis. “Hello, little brother. What is it that you want to talk to me about?” asks Cody. John replies, “There comes a moment when every person must choose between the light and the dark.”
The tone of the trailer quickly changes when John shoots Cody after discovering that he and his wife, Syd, played by Hayley McFarland, were planning to escape. John confronts Syd, saying, “You bought the tickets.” She responds, “I wasn’t going to go.”
The next scene shows an unnamed witness telling a local sheriff about John’s family history. “Those three living in close proximity. Disaster waiting to happen.” John tells Syd, “Looking through the papers and watching the news, there’s no story about Cody.” She assures him, “No, I took care of it.” She appears confident that Cody will not be found. John and Syd ultimately try to run away before things turn chaotic for them.
The crime thriller’s cast also features Annie Funke and Mary Buss. Producers on the project include Jacob Ryan Snovel, Kyle Kauwika Harris, Nick Clement, and Maddison Bullock.
Miracle Media’s Anywhere releases on UK digital platforms on November 9, 2026.
