Kim Kardashian Reveals What’s Holding Up Her Next Bar Exam Attempt

Kim Kardashian isn’t giving up on her dream of becoming a lawyer just yet. The 46-year-old reality star, who began pursuing a legal career in 2019, said she intends to retake the bar exam when “the moment is right.” The SKIMS founder had previously taken the California bar exam in July 2025.

During the November 2 premiere of All’s Fair Season 2 in New York City, Kardashian told People, “I am always thinking about the bar.” She further added, “I’m going to take my time and wait until the moment is right, when I have some free time to focus on it.” Kardashian’s co-star Sarah Paulson also expressed confidence in her legal ambitions. “She’s going to be a great lawyer,” the 51-year-old actress said. “She will.”

Last year, Kardashian sat for the California bar exam after completing the state’s Law Office Study Program. The program allows aspiring lawyers to pursue the profession without enrolling in a traditional law school. In November 2025, the reality star announced that she hadn’t passed the bar exam in an emotional video about her journey.

She wrote, “On November 7th, I found out I didn’t pass the bar. It was disappointing, but it wasn’t the end. This dream means too much to me to walk away from, so I’m going to keep studying, keep learning, and keep showing up for myself until I get there.”

Although Kardashian has yet to become a lawyer in real life, she plays one on screen in Ryan Murphy’s series, portraying divorce attorney Allura Grant. Season 2 of All’s Fair premieres on Hulu on November 4, bringing more scandals and drama to the screen. All the main cast members are returning, joined by guest stars Dorinda Medley, formerly of The Real Housewives of New York, and actress Denise Richards.
