Ex-Prince Andrew Wants King Charles To Track Down His ‘Teddy Bears’ — Source

Ex-Prince Andrew reportedly wanted King Charles III to help recover his beloved teddy bears, which he feared police discarded during raids on his homes. He had spent months without access to his belongings.

A source said the collection remained among possessions locked in storage since police searched his properties in February. Andrew feared some items had disappeared and wanted his brother to intervene.

The National Examiner source said Andrew’s collection of stuffed animals remained in storage alongside his other belongings for nearly a year. Andrew could not easily reach them. “He’s got no idea what they’ve taken, what they might have thrown out just for spite, it’s very upsetting.”

Andrew reportedly “demand[ed]” that Charles “step in and find out where his bears have gone.” “He says he can’t sleep at night worrying about where they’ve gone. For all he knows they’ve been destroyed,” the source said. “Andrew knows his brother is scoffing at this but for him, it’s very serious. They all have such special memories. He can’t ever replace them.”

Royal author Tom Quinn discussed Andrew’s collection in his 2025 book, Yes, Ma’am: The Secret Life of Royal Servants. Speaking to Fox News Digital, Quinn explained the bears’ arrangement. “He has a collection of teddy bears, which he insists are placed every day in a certain position … a pyramid shape,” he said. “And he gets very cross if it’s not done properly.”

The concern came amid upheaval. Thames Valley Police arrested Andrew in February on suspicion of misconduct in public office. Investigators examined allegations that he shared sensitive information with Jeffrey Epstein while serving as a U.K. trade envoy from 2001 to 2011. Andrew maintained his innocence, denied wrongdoing and left custody without charges.

The source claimed Charles, 77, refused to help track down the bears. The king reportedly disapproved of his brother’s attachment. Andrew, 66, feared police had thrown away the collection instead of keeping it safe.
