The Summer House star Amanda Batula has addressed questions about the dogs she adopted with Kyle Cooke following their split. Batula’s recent Instagram exchange with users suggested that Cooke does not want to keep their dogs, Ryder and Reese.
Amanda Batula and Kyle Cooke face new questions about their pets
Amanda Batula took to Instagram to share a carousel featuring photos of Ryder and Reese, the two dogs she and Cooke adopted. Batula captioned the post, “Yall mind if I post?”
One user encouraged Batula to let Cooke keep the dogs, writing, “Let [Kyle] keep the pups.” The reality star replied, “[Kyle] actually doesn’t want them.”
The post also prompted several users to express concern about the dogs’ weight. One user commented, “Your dog looks worryingly underweight!!”
Another Instagram user wrote, “her dogs weight is concerning…..I hope he or she isn’t that way from malnutrition…..I’m not going to assume….but I’m worried.”
Batula replied that Ryder has always been skinny and said she has taken the dog to the vet for testing over the years. She wrote, “Ryder has always been skinny, and I’ve taken her to the vet for different testing over the years. Everything comes back normal, and they say she’s healthy. It concerns me too ?.”
Another user suggested that Batula have the dogs undergo bloodwork. She responded that she had already done so but was still trying to determine why Ryder is so skinny.
In 2022, Cooke and Batula adopted Ryder and Reese from Waldo’s Rescue Pen in New York after initially fostering the dogs. Cooke previously praised Batula for helping the dogs adjust to their new home.
“I always knew she would be an amazing mom, but I underestimated how much joy these little girls would bring her as a dog mom, and how much love she would give them in return,” he said, via Us Weekly.
Batula and Cooke married in 2021 and separated in January 2026. Based on Batula’s recent Instagram response, she appears to be caring for Ryder and Reese following the separation.
