Amanda Batula is officially out of In the City Season 2, but her departure may only be one piece of a much larger overhaul. Bravo is reportedly making several cast changes as filming moves forward. The shakeup involves questions surrounding West Wilson, salary negotiations, and the departures of several Season 1 cast members. Meanwhile, familiar faces Kyle Cooke and Lindsay Hubbard are still filming.
West Wilson, salary disputes and cast cuts complicate Season 2
Page Six confirmed that Amanda will not return for Season 2 of In the City. However, sources offered conflicting explanations for her departure.
One insider told Page Six that Bravo offered Amanda a reduced, part-time role. The insider claimed Amanda wanted her boyfriend, West Wilson, to participate in filming, but producers refused.
Another source claimed the timing was not right for either Amanda or West to appear on the show. A third claimed salary negotiations became the sticking point.
West’s absence is notable because his relationship with Amanda had already become part of the show’s wider drama. He previously appeared on Season 1, and insiders once said joining In the City remained a possibility.
However, his involvement in Season 2 now appears unlikely. West already exited Summer House, while Amanda also left the original series after 10 seasons.
The changes do not stop with Amanda. Danielle Olivera and partner Eoin Heavey reportedly will not return. The same source claimed that Andrea Denver and his wife, Lexi Sundin, will also not return. Fans have already questioned Danielle’s reported Season 2 exit.
The Season 2 cast will reportedly include two new couples and one single newcomer. Kyle and Lindsay remain part of the lineup.
Amanda has since said intense online criticism also contributed to her decision. She explained that the online backlash left her feeling “beaten down” and reluctant to return to reality television.
Her exit has already fueled more drama. Kyle recently lashed out at West in a since-deleted comment, putting Amanda’s career at the center of their feud.
With several reported departures and new cast members joining, In the City Season 2 could feature a significantly different lineup.
