Insider says William distrusts Prince Harry’s intentions
According to Heat World, William is angry with Prince Harry’s comments in his GQ interview. “William has no doubt in his mind that this was yet another cheap shot at him, Kate and the rest of the royals,” an insider said.
The Prince of Wales “wishes Harry would shut up and stop playing games.” This is “especially if he’s sincere in his desire to build bridges.” The source added that William feels Harry is deliberately creating controversy and bringing embarrassment to the family, while refusing to take responsibility for his own actions.
They added, “At this point, William feels his brother is the definition of a loose cannon.” He feels Harry’s “intentions cannot be trusted.” The future king reportedly questions why Harry considers himself entitled or qualified to assume such a self-appointed position, particularly given the hurt and damage he has allegedly caused his family and the monarchy over the years. The publication also noted that both William and Kate are frustrated by the situation, although Kate has reportedly responded with greater restraint and less emotion.
The Princess of Wales “wants to believe Harry’s coming from a place of vulnerability.” Moreover, the insider thinks “this is his way of openly begging for a pathway towards peace, while still trying to hold his head up high and defend himself.” Middleton is reportedly disappointed with the way Harry has been sharing things publicly. This is “the total opposite of how the royals conduct themselves, and Harry must have known it would enrage senior members of the family.”
