Fired Donald Trump Aide Katie Zacharia Wants Back Into the White House

Katie Zacharia, who served as Donald Trump’s White House press secretary for just five days, is reportedly interested in working for the president again. The 42-year-old conservative commentator said she would be open to returning to her former role or taking on another position.

Katie Zacharia “would love to work” for Donald Trump again after her White House exit

During her October 28 appearance on Piers Morgan Uncensored, Zacharia said, “I would love to work for him again in that capacity or another capacity. Again, he is the most consequential president in history, and I have always been a history buff. I have watched what he’s done for this country, and it will secure the futures of my children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. So, if I am asked to serve, even in a capacity that is not as rewarding, perhaps, I will absolutely step up to that.”

Following her October 9 appointment by Trump, Zacharia served in the role for just five days. Her brief tenure broke the previous record for the shortest time spent in the position. Anthony Scaramucci held the record after serving as Trump’s White House communications director for 11 days in 2017. Zacharia’s exit follows Trump’s remarks that he had told her to reconsider the role.

Zacharia graduated from Pepperdine University in 2011. She previously served as a spokesperson for the Department of Homeland Security. She also interned with the White House Office of Political Affairs during the second Bush administration. Additionally, she interned with the Republican National Committee. Zacharia drew on her experience in Republican politics and conservative media. The administration expected her to communicate its position on key issues amid ongoing political challenges.

However, her first press briefing quickly attracted attention after she made an awkward verbal slip, accidentally referring to President Donald Trump as her husband. The mother of four replaced Karoline Leavitt in the high-profile role in Washington, DC.
