Given that her mother is already battling a terminal illness, fans may have naturally assumed the news was related to her. However, Katie Price has clarified that the “devastating news” isn’t about her terminally ill mother.
According to Metro coverage, She wrote, “Had devastating news tonight,” then, explained further, “Love, health and family is so important. Cherish every moment with loved ones and build memories. And no it’s not my mum.”
As for the media personality’s mother, Katie reassured fans about her health earlier this week, saying she is “very strong” and that she would visit her soon. Speaking on her podcast with her sister Sophie, Katie also revealed that Amy is currently in the hospital and is very unwell.
For context, the British model’s mother, Amy Price, is currently in the hospital and remains in critical condition. The 74-year-old was diagnosed with an incurable condition called idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis in 2017. The disease causes scarring inside the lungs, making it extremely difficult to breathe.
In 2023, Amy underwent a major lung transplant to save her life. However, she has continued to experience health complications even after the procedure.
