Teresa Giudice’s Daughter Gia Makes Big Move After 7 Years of Dating

Gia Giudice revealed a major new step in her relationship with longtime boyfriend Christian Carmichael after seven years together. The Next Gen NYC star said Carmichael planned to move into her Jersey City apartment in November, giving the couple their first chance to officially live together.

Gia shared the update during Bravo Fan Fest 2026 on October 24. She said, “I mean, it’s about time,” as she revealed their plans to move in together. The RHONJ daughter explained that she and Carmichael originally hoped to find a new place together so they could choose and decorate it as a couple. However, those plans changed after Gia opened her restaurant, Il Vero, in Westwood, New Jersey.

She said managing the restaurant made another move feel unnecessarily stressful, so the couple decided Carmichael would move into her current apartment instead. “We’re going to do a year in my place,” Gia said.

She added that after spending a year there, they planned to look for a new home they could stay in for a longer period. Gia also explained that her restaurant affected where the couple could realistically live. Although they had looked at places in New York City, she said moving farther into the city would make her commute to Il Vero more difficult.

Her Jersey City apartment offered a compromise because it kept her close enough to New York while also giving her easier access to the restaurant. The reality star made clear that New Jersey still felt like home.

“You couldn’t get me out of Jersey,” she said. For Gia and Carmichael, moving in together marked their next major relationship milestone after seven years of dating. The couple appeared ready to take the step without rushing into another major housing decision at the same time.

Gia also indicated that the current arrangement would give them time to settle into living together before eventually choosing a new place they could make their own.
