As reported by PEOPLE, Melvin wanted to discuss Posey’s work in the horror genre. She looked confused and leaned closer when he mentioned the word. After he repeated himself, Posey burst into laughter.
“I thought you called me a whore!” she exclaimed. Melvin quickly cleared things up, saying, “I did not call you a whore! H-O-R-R-O-R.”
The two laughed off the misunderstanding, and Melvin admitted he hadn’t pronounced the word clearly enough. However, the conversation took another awkward turn when he asked about Posey’s upcoming horror film, Sleepover.
Posey surprised him with a simple answer: “I’m not doing it.” Melvin checked his cue cards, which still listed her as part of the movie. The actress explained that she had previously joined the project but had since stepped away.
She didn’t share the exact reason for her departure. Instead, she grabbed one of Melvin’s cue cards and used it as a fan while the host tried to make sense of the unexpected update.

Melvin eventually asked Carson Daly to rescue the segment. Daly joked that their exchange would probably become another viral clip.
