Scott Eastwood’s Lucky Strike is Hulu’s top streaming movie now
Scott Eastwood’s war film Lucky Strike has climbed to the top of Hulu’s streaming movie chart in the United States. According to FlixPatrol, the film secured the No. 1 position on Hulu’s Top 10 Movies list on October 26, 2026, outperforming several popular titles. These include Coraline, Hokum, Hocus Pocus 2, Monsters University, and The Devil Wears Prada 2, among others.
Directed by Rod Lurie, Lucky Strike debuted in U.S. theaters on June 26, 2026. The World War II film draws inspiration from true events surrounding the Battle of the Bulge, Germany’s last major offensive on the Western Front.
It centers on Captain John Castle, an American soldier who is wounded and left stranded behind German lines during the battle. Cut off from his unit, Castle must use his military knowledge and a Motorola SCR-300 radio, a communication device that had only recently become suitable for battlefield use, to counter the advancing German Panzer forces.
Eastwood leads the cast as Captain John Castle, with Colin Hanks portraying Colonel Neale and Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor playing Rose Caldwell. The other cast members include Henry Hughes as Dauntless, Taylor John Smith as Sergeant Bellingham, and Kwame Patterson as Maren.
The film has earned moderately favorable audience and critical scores. On Rotten Tomatoes, Lucky Strike has a 65 percent critics’ score drawn from 48 reviews. Its audience score is slightly higher at 69 percent. The Guardian reported, “As a simple exercise in suspense, it’s certainly effective, but there are clunky passages that prevent it from being top-tier entertainment.”
