Nicki Minaj’s Comments About Kids Reignite Scrutiny of Her Family

Nicki Minaj has been making headlines ever since she joined President Donald Trump at a midterm election rally. However, amid the political buzz, another development may disappoint her fans. The rapper’s family life remains clouded by legal and personal disputes. Meanwhile, her recent comments about children have reignited scrutiny of her family.

Nicki Minaj’s remarks revive scrutiny of Kenneth Petty & Jelani Maraj

As many already know, the Queen of Rap joined Donald Trump at a rally in Michigan on Sunday, where she also addressed the crowd. Meanwhile, Nicki Minaj’s remarks have reignited scrutiny of her husband, Kenneth Petty, and her brother, Jelani Maraj.

Minaj said, “We are not going to give up because we want our children to grow up in a place where we can be proud. We don’t want our children to be bombarded with sex changes, right? We don’t want that for our children. We want people to leave the children alone.”

The rally also showed how openly the singer supports Donald Trump, as she urged the crowd to back the Republican Party. “I will continue to support you forever and ever. If you run again, I will support you again,” she said, making her support for the president clear.

While the rapper’s comments may have pleased the president, many fans were unhappy with her remarks. As per the Blast coverage, several people brought up her family’s history, as reflected in the backlash surrounding her recent comments.

For context, Nicki Minaj’s husband, Kenneth Petty, is a registered sex offender following his 1994 conviction for attempted rape. Meanwhile, her brother, Jelani Maraj, is serving a 25-year prison sentence for predatory sexual assault and child endangerment.

Referring to these cases, one fan criticized the rapper, writing, “Pretending to care about kids when she’s married to a sex offender.” Another person slammed her, saying, “Her circle is full of criminals.”

The rapper was not the only one to face backlash. People also heavily trolled President Donald Trump for his comments about her appearance.
