Jenna Ortega explains how her OCD has evolved over time in new interview

Jenna Ortega reportedly opened up about her OCD. The actor spoke about how it has evolved over time in a new interview with Vogue magazine. She explained that she was seven when she realized that her thought patterns were different and that her mind worked differently from others. She told the interviewer, “There’s a lot of different trains rolling in my brain at the same time.”

The “Wednesday” actor shared that she would wake up earlier than her siblings so she could follow a morning routine tailored to her preferences before school. Apparently, she would arrange her bedsheets in a certain way. She added that she would open a drawer in a specific manner and brush her hair slowly.

Ortega further shared that her condition has evolved over time. Now, her repetitive behaviors tend to surface whenever she is exhausted, jet-lagged, or simply anxious about a new work project. However, she has her own ways of calming herself down. Ortega said that she just “bites the bullet” and follows the routine. The 24-year-old also revealed that she has other ways of managing her OCD. She would hold her breath, count to 71, and say “take care” to manage her OCD.

As she continues to manage her OCD, Ortega shared that she has tried medication and worked with a therapist to cope with the condition. When it comes to her acting career, she said that her job offers some relief. Ortega explained that when the cameras are rolling, one has to breathe, which is another reason why she truly loves her job.
