The look appears to be inspired by the “malt shop bob” haircut with its deep side part and bouncy, outward-flipped ends. Not to mention, the 7 Rings singer also seems to have deepened her hair to a rich, chocolate-dark brown.
The new look marks a major departure from her signature ultra-long ponytail, a hairstyle she has sported for roughly 14 years.
Grande’s devoted fans and celebrity friends were quick to flood the comments with praise, expressing their excitement over her departure from her iconic ponytail. Even her boyfriend, Ricky Alvarez, joined in, commenting, “I wanna ask you out.”

She also reportedly withdrew from her planned 2027 role in the West End revival of Sunday in the Park with George alongside Jonathan Bailey.
Although she has stepped back from traditional press and live performances, Grande remains active on Instagram, sharing photo dumps and Stories, posting personal pictures, and promoting her makeup brand, R.E.M. Beauty.
