Rosie O’Donnell has criticized Donald Trump over his comments about Ohio Sen. Jon Husted’s physique at a Kentucky campaign rally. The 64-year-old comedian described the remarks as “freaky,” adding, “I mean, the absurdity.”

On October 21, O’Donnell, known for her Emmy Award-winning daytime talk program The Rosie O’Donnell Show, joined Jim Acosta on The Jim Acosta Show to discuss Trump’s comments about the bodies of male MAGA candidates, including Husted.
Acosta played footage of Trump discussing Husted’s body during the rally. Trump told the audience he had been “studying” the Ohio Republican. “I’ve never studied the body of a man before. It’s not my thing. Nothing wrong with it, of course,” the president said. He then praised Husted’s backside, describing it as “like a pile of muscle.” Trump also commented on the senator’s feet, saying, “Man, his feet are big.”
Acosta poked fun at Trump’s remarks, saying the president appeared to be relying on comments about other men’s backsides as his closing campaign message. He jokingly asked if Trump might be “transitioning.”
O’Donnell responded, “Could be. You never know with him.” She then mocked Trump, asking, “What comes next? I wonder, Donald, what are you thinking about, mushroom man?” O’Donnell later shifted to a serious tone and said, “The dementia is winning.” She went on to argue that few other public figures would speak about people in the same manner as Trump.
The former talk show host, who moved to Ireland following Trump’s return to the White House, also accused Trump of treating men and women differently when discussing their appearances. “This is like a misogynist beyond misogyny, right? Everything in a man he thinks is great and everything in a woman he thinks is horrible,” she said.
