Minka Kelly Offers Curious Take on Love After Latest Hollywood Breakup

Weeks after reports of her breakup with Imagine Dragons frontman Dan Reynolds surfaced, Minka Kelly shared a sentimental message about soulmates. The 46-year-old Ransom Canyon actress and Reynolds had reportedly been together for four years.

On October 18, Kelly shared a series of photos on Instagram, including pictures of a sunset and a dog. She ended the photo carousel with a quote about soulmates. The quote appeared in black text against a white background. It read, “Soulmates, or partners of destiny, can be people that come into your life and change your life. And ideally, it’s not about holding on to it, but understanding what they brought into your life — what did you learn, and how did you change? It’s about seeing these people and these situations as a gift, as steps in your own personal development.”

Several followers offered Kelly words of support in the comments section. One fan wrote, “Minka, you are a true beauty inside and out. Keep shining. You lead with such a graceful and kind presence.” Another wrote, “Love the sentiment on the last slide. What a lovely way to look at it.” A third commented, “Last slide.. speechless! You’re such an evolved soul; gratitude is all, Minka.”

Kelly and Reynolds have yet to officially address their reported breakup. The two began dating in 2022 but initially kept their relationship out of the spotlight. Their relationship began shortly after Reynolds announced his split from ex-wife Aja Volkman. He shares four children with Volkman. Kelly and Reynolds reportedly ended their relationship in October 2026.

Before the reported split, Kelly celebrated Reynolds’ 38th birthday with an Instagram tribute on July 14. She also shared how Reynolds had changed her life. She wrote, “This beautiful man has healed wounds in me he did not inflict – simply by being himself. By embodying true masculinity. The kind that is vulnerable, honest and loving.”
