Jacob Elordi is honoring his former Euphoria co-star Eric Dane especially. The actor will narrate most of Dane’s upcoming memoir audiobook, giving a familiar voice to the late star’s story. The project brings their on-screen connection into a deeply personal release. Fans can expect the memoir to arrive in November.
Eric Dane’s ‘My Book of Days’ audiobook is reportedly scheduled for November 3 release
Dane’s posthumous memoir, My Book of Days: A Memoir in Moments, will arrive on Nov. 3. Penguin Random House lists Elordi as one of the audiobook’s narrators on its website. A representative told Entertainment Weekly that Elordi reads most of the book. A section is also narrated by Maria Shriver, whose publishing imprint, The Open Field, is releasing the memoir.
Shriver reads the “Dear Reader” chapter, which she wrote herself and which discusses The Open Field. Elordi played Nate Jacobs, the son of Dane’s character Cal, on Euphoria. The two actors returned for the show’s third season, which aired on HBO this year. Dane appeared in two episodes, making the season one of his final screen appearances.
Before his death, Dane spoke warmly about returning to Euphoria in a June 2025 interview with Access Hollywood. “It’s great to be back. It’s been a long time waiting for season 3,” he said. He also praised the series, adding, “We are shooting a really great TV show.”
Dane also praised Elordi’s dedication to acting and said they enjoyed discussing their craft together. The Grey’s Anatomy and The Last Ship star died on Feb. 19, ten months after publicly sharing his ALS diagnosis. Shriver later paid tribute to Dane, calling him heroic for using his voice to explain life with ALS. She said he wanted his family to understand how much he loved them and to have a story they could be proud of, adding that it was an honor to know him.
